Our Story
How it all began.
MCW Apiaries began in 1998 when Mike and Corinna Williams purchased their first hundred hives. Originally from England, they moved to Canada in the early 1990s with a shared dream of building a life rooted in their love for bees and the outdoors.
Drawing on Mike’s beekeeping experience, first developed alongside his father in England and years spent learning from producers around the world, the couple eventually settled in Northern Alberta. There, they turned their passion into a thriving family business.
From those humble beginnings, MCW Apiaries has grown to care for over 3,000 hives. Today, the Williams family continues to produce pure, high-quality honey, sharing the natural sweetness of their bees’ hard work with customers across the region.

From Hive To Jar
We keep things simple and natural, using only safe, quality ingredients to create our products right here on the farm.
We’re proud to produce and share locally made products, crafted with care by our hardworking team. From hive to jar, we focus on keeping things fresh, natural, and close to home.
When summer arrives, everyone’s buzzing our bees included! In early spring, our hives travel to the Okanagan Valley, where they play an important role in pollinating the fruit trees that make those sweet summer flavours we all love.

Real raw honey comes straight from the hive! A true superfood created by one of nature’s most remarkable creatures, the honeybee.
Unlike processed honey, raw unpasteurized honey is untouched by heat or heavy filtering, preserving all the natural nutrients, enzymes, and beneficial compounds that make it so special.
In its purest form, honey is a living food with natural antibacterial, antifungal, and antiviral properties. For centuries, it has been used to support immunity, soothe inflammation, and promote healthy digestion.

Meet Mike and Corinna Williams — the “M” and “C” behind MCW Apiaries. Together, they founded the business in 1998, building it from a shared love of beekeeping and the outdoors.
Originally from southwest England, Mike and Corinna moved to Canada over 30 years ago to pursue their dream of starting a honey farm. Mike’s passion for bees began early, inspired by his father, who kept a small number of hives back home. That passion led him to attend the beekeeping program at Fairview College in Alberta, the only one of its kind in the world at the time.
Before settling in Canada, the couple spent time beekeeping in Australia, where they also got married. Drawn to the wide-open spaces and natural beauty of Northern Alberta, they returned to the Peace Country to start both their family and their beekeeping business.
Through years of hard work, dedication, and love for what they do, MCW Apiaries has grown into a thriving family operation. Now with both of their children playing an active role. Mike and Corinna are grateful every day for the support of their community and the opportunity to share their passion for bees and honey with others.
