Our Story
How it all began.
MCW Apiaries began business back in 1998 when Mike & Corinna Williams bought there first hundred hives. They moved to Canada from England in the early 90s with the dream of starting their own honey farm. This finally came to fruition after a few years working and gaining knowledge from other producers. Mike had a background in Beekeeping in England who along with his dad ran 80 hives as a side line.
Mike wanted to make a full time living from bees and Northern Alberta was the place we settled on after working in various other parts of the world beekeeping. From their humble beginnings they have now built up there operation to around 3000 hives which they run with their family .

All our products are made as natural as possible with the safest ingredients right here on our farm
We take pride in producing and distributing locally made products. With the help of our hard-working team, we are able to come out with the freshest naturally produced products. In the summer months everyone is busy as bees.. including our bees! Early spring our bees and team are hard at work down in the Okanagan doing pollination for all those yummy and delicious fruits you can get your hands on in the summer months!
Family owned and locally produced with love and care
Real raw honey comes straight from the beehive and is a potent superfood sweetener gathered by one of the most profound creatures on planet earth, the honeybee.
Unlike processed honey that most people are used to, raw unpasteurized honey is like nothing you've tried before . Raw honey is an unheated natural sweetener that still retains all of the nutrients, enzymes and medicinal compounds that honey is known for.
Honey in this state is a living food high in antibacterial, anti fungal and antiviral properties used throughout the ages to reduce inflammation, boost the immune system and aid digestive functions.
Raw non-filtered honey is by far the most medicinal honey available. Containing fragments of nutritious constituents such as propolis, bee pollen, small flecks of honeycomb and different active enzymes.

With a rich blend of clover, alfalfa, and canola we get the fresh and delicious production of honey. With the large variety of products ranging from different sized honey jars, candles, flavored honey and lip balms, we can guarantee it will be a sweet treat. Profile
Meet Mike and Corinna Williams, the M and the C in MCW. Founders of the business created in 1998. Mike and Corinna moved from southwest England 30 years ago. Mike found this passion as his father was a small scale beekeeper in the UK. He made the move to attend beekeeping school at the Fairview College in Alberta. (Fun fact, it was the only college that offered beekeeping programming in the world, at that time)
Before settling down in Canada, they spent some time beekeeping in Australia, where they also got married. After attending school in the Peace Country the decision was made to return as they loved the open freedom! Upon returning, they started a family and jumped into building this company. With all the love and passion they have put into it, it has grown immensely. Resulting in it now being a family business with both kids involved heavily. They both love what they do and are grateful for the amazing community supporting them over the years.
